On the shelf.........................

Finally got some shelves in the corner of the kitchen that was a bit bare - I've been having fun playing with things to put there! -

(It won't look this tidy for long!!)             And in case I forget which room I'm in -

Horrible day here - really grey and rainy.  But I've got some beautiful stargazer lilies - they smell amazing -

and the 1/2 price evergreen stuff I got the other day from the garden centre helps a bit outside too -

***********************
And what can I make with these scraps of material? -

Suggestions on a postcard please.................. ;)

  2. Oh I LOVE your kitchen. We are currently thinking of updating ours but just do not know where to start to be honest. It is a solid pine country kitchen with the faithful Aga but it needs some re-modelling. I want to paint the units too. I have a fabulous linen press which I must do something with. Oh I could go on all day. The fabric? What about some recipe folders? Cover a document holder and put on shelves - tidy and the colours would really go with your new kitchen. Really love it - I must declutter the tat I have here.

  7. Abby, your kitchen looks booooootifull... so, light and airy. The dresser looks gorgeous with all your crockery inside.

Hmmmmn, scraps of fabric...they look quite big so what about some of those quilted coasters that are popular at the moment, coaster mat thing-em-e-jigs x

Re: the fabric remnants ... perhaps jam pot covers, one of those carrier bag holder thingies, a patchwork cushion or trimmings for tea towels.

  21. The circles would make cushion seats for dining chairs in your lovely tidy, clean kitchen don't you think? And will the things you put on your shelves stay there, or like me, will you play around with ideas, move things, try something new, every once in a while?

  23. Thanks for all the comments - I ought to take another pic later today - after school we're having a family birthday party for eldest grandson (10) - it'll be quite a bit less tidy later, after 4 grandsons, etc., have rampaged about! Yes, Maggie - I will (when I have time) be endlessly playing / moving stuff about!!
