'The claw is my master'

Middle daughter (Ruby's mum) was really into the alien in Toy Story when she was younger, so when I saw this dressing up outfit in a charity shop recently ('twas from M + S and still had the tags on :) ), I couldn't resist it!  -

Going to a friend's surprise birthday party (well, it's a meal in a hotel in Oxford) at the weekend, and although generally I'm quite into clothes, I always get a bit het up about party gear. Bit broke at the moment too. Anyway, got this dress / tunic top in Peacocks today, cheap -



and some shoes (well, they're fancy espadrilles, with a heel) in a sale, that seem to go pretty well (with black leggings?) -


Not sure which necklace to wear -





I guess the first one looks a bit more dressy, but it doesn't 'sit' very well.

It was a beautiful day here today (though it's raining now!). Let's hope Spring is on its way:)

    I love the outfit, it is gorgeous but cannot decide on which necklace - I guess as you say, the one that sits well and is the right length once on will be the best - enjoy!

    For what it's worth, and what do I know about fashion, I thought the second necklace looked better, more subtle, co-ordinating and not clashing which the other seemed to do because of the light reflected I suppose. Whatever, enjoy!

    Wow, love your outfit, just my colours - greys and mauves - like the necklaces especially the first one; take them both and decide on the day, hope you have a lovely time in Oxford. Ruby looks cute in her alien outfit:)

    How cute does Ruby look! I love that dress too - it certainly doesn't look like it's from Peacock's.
