A little giveaway!
Thought I'd do a little giveaway - so leave me a comment if you'd like to be entered. I'll draw a name on Thursday 3rd March in the evening. The giveaway is a little flowery cotton bag (child-size), a silky pink corsage, a pretty square of lace and a pink hare brooch -

The Rat was on the river bank, singing a little song........
On the way back from town recently, I stopped by the large pond where there are ducks. Idly standing there, watching the ducks, I realised there were other creatures in the water - quite a few of these - (not very good pics - they were fast!) -
As Ratty sang in Wind in the Willows -
"All along the backwater,
Through the rushes tall,
Ducks are a-dabbling,
Up tails all!
Ducks' tails, drakes' tails,
Yellow feet a-quiver,
Yellow bills all out of sight
Busy in the river! "
- which Teddy thinks he'd like for his holidays -
Rats? Water voles? -

Hare and hair......
Hare and hair? - going to have my hair cut today - and yesterday I got this hare from T K Maxx - I love him! -
Got some cute (charity shop) fruity glasses too - and a fruity apron to serve the cocktails in?! -
These curtains are really pretty aren't they? Can't decide whether to cut them up and make several cushions.....
Not my personal style, but hopefully someone will like it in Ludlow on Sunday! -
And - (rather late for these ones!) - a pretty hyacinth glass -
Right, off to the hairdressers now! Enjoy your Friday!

The panels would make lovely cushions, wouldn't they? - (I need to repair them a bit) -
But then they do look pretty hung up as curtains -
Got a huge (not hand-made, but very pretty) double bed-cover too -And - (rather late for these ones!) - a pretty hyacinth glass -
Right, off to the hairdressers now! Enjoy your Friday!

Playing at shops...........
I picked up an old dresser cheaply last week (it needs stripping and repainting - that's what I should have been doing today, instead of playing ;) ) which I shall put in the shop to display china on -
I got a couple of side tables too, to display stuff on. Quite pleased with these now they're cleaned up and painted - they were in quite a state -
Painted - and distressed - these little shelves too -
Pretty, isn't it? -
- and some tiny irises coming out in pots in the garden -
I don't really like the dresser, but it will be useful in the shop -

Lovely tulips -
Mr VTT has just brought me a glass of wine and a bowl of olives, so that seems a good point at which to slope off! Enjoy the rest of the week!

Do you know what this is?
Anyone know what this is? - It's about 8 ins square -
Presumably given away with a mag called Modern Home? - in 1929 -
I got it from a flea market, along with this lovely old 'Illuminated Scripture Text Book' -
Not in good condition, sadly - (?paraffin oil) -
But lovely inside -
And I've been playing with my blocks! -
Whilst having a cup of tea -
and thinking about restoring this old sewing box - I've started (after this photo) painting it, but it's not easy to paint!! -
Have a lovely weekend!
