'Tis a bit foggy...............

Really grey and foggy and miserable weather here today :(    Need to keep cheering myself up (I've got a bit of a headache and a scratchy throat, but I'm NOT going to get the horrid bug that the rest of the family had before Christmas!  Go away, bug!) by looking at and smelling lovely flowers and bulbs that are around here - like these hyacinths - mmmm, lovely, can you smell them? -

and these bulbs given to me by MIL - paperwhites, I think they are - gorgeous smell again -

and (yes, it's like a flower shop here!  I love flowers) these non-scented but very pretty roses (bought by Mr VTT!) -

in a pink metal jug bought for £1.99 from B + M! -

My little kitchen windowsill orange tree seems to have survived all the building work -

************************

Grand-daughter Ruby (a month old today!) has been getting to know her brothers -

'Hmm', thinks Ruby, 'I see I'll be off to Specsavers soon'.......!

************************

Well, I'm going to have a hot, steamy bath to see if I can shoo away Mr Bug!

Hope you all have a great New Year if I don't 'see' you before then!

  2. Hope you avoid the bug - I've suddenly got a really dry, barking cough which frightens the poor cats! I love white flowers and yours all look lovely. Happy New Year:)

  3. Hope you don't get the dreaded bug, we have all avoided it so far!! The rest of the family and many friends have already suffered with flu. I love the pictures of the flowers, I can almost smell them, just what we need to cheer us all up on a really grey day. Hope the bath does the trick. Have a lovely New Year.
