(I've got lots of colourful things - bowls, plants, etc. - so it won't look as stark as this - and it's south-facing, so very light )
Bought this low cupboard today (got 10% off as slightly bashed - adding in fact to its charm! ) from Dunelm -
- and this picture, which reminds me of Angie Lewin's work -
(The cushions I've already bought are these colours)
I put a Christmas tree up which keeps getting moved about by the builders - there are baubles strewn everywhere!
They've got some cute cushions in Dunelm - very tempted by this one! -

Grand-daughter, Ruby, is doing well -
- in spite of being very casually held by older brother! -

And the severe weather warning? Two feet of snow apparently -

ReplyDeleteFantastic.
ReplyDeleteHaHa very funny, just what was needed on such a dark and gloomy morning as we have here in my corner of Norfolk. And it's raining, a precursor of the snow due in this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteLove the kitchen, and coincidentally I have been bought the Angie Lewin book for Christmas and I am trying not to look at it until then... but it sits near my chair, on the little table, tempting me.
Wow, your new kitchen looks wonderful - you must be thrilled with it. Lol at the Christmas tree moving around and the 2ft of snow. Love Dunelm for cushions and fabrics etc and the picture is lovely:)

ReplyDeleteHello dear,
ReplyDeleteyour kitchen is already beautiful,
especially the white furniture,
I wonder how it will be when it's over!
Your Ruby is beautiful, congratulations.
A hug Susy
Your kitchen is gorgeous but not as lovely as Ruby!
ReplyDeleteI've just found your blog and thought I'd say hello! Your kitchen is looking fantastic, we've been doing the same mad rush to get finished (or mostly) before Christmas. Good luck with it all! Bibs x
ReplyDeleteWow! Your kitchen is already looking fabulous - spacious, light (yes, I can see that despite the photos being taken at night) and airy. I love your white dresser, and your new lower cupboard matches it all very well. Like Julie (The Cloth Shed), I can't wait to see your finishing touches. However, I do really enjoy watching it take shape during the process.
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind to me and your comments on my blog always bring me so much joy and encouragement. When I saw your words about my blog on "Heart Shaped" (she found me through you and another blogger, Periwinkle), I confess to going a little misty eyed. Mia's blogg Lilla Blanka is one of my favourites and was an inspiration to me long before I even had a thought about starting my own blog. Thank you for being such a warm and encouraging "blog sister", your words are like a kind gift, every time.
Love the "two feet of snow" - my kind of humour!
Oh, and Ruby is so scrumptious!
Wishing you a lovely Christmas and all the best for 2011!
Love from Helena
oh your kitchen looks lovely, nice basket side board thingy.
ReplyDeleteHeehee, love the feet comment!! Your kitchen looks fab you must be very happy with it, and that cupcake cushions is lovely, must get myself down to Dunelm! Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteLooks Beautiful. Can't wait to see it when you have all your fun decor in place. Congratulations on your new grandbaby. My grandson Sam is 7 months old and the light of my life! Being a granny is the best thing ever.
ReplyDeleteHappy Jolly Winter to you.
Ps. Thank you for the link - LOVE the place and really want to try to visit one day!
ReplyDeleteRegards, Helena
