Today was very cold here, but beautifully bright, so I decided to swap the red cushions and rug in our open plan sitting room for the Spring-like green ones put away last year -
I painted the mirror - that's propped on the radiator - today, and thought that might go on the wall........but it doesn't look right.........probably needs shelves really........?
Mother's Day flowers still going strong -
Found some nice stuff this week, like this barbola mirror -
and these pretty cups and saucers -
And a chunky old tea cosy, and a pretty teapot, and a tin -
And a new book to read :)
Hope you're having a good week!
Love your newly springyfied room :-) Can I ask where you got your lovely turquoise hare from ? x
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks. I got the hare (it's raku fired and has lovely 'cracked' glazing) from The Lion Gallery in Leominster. It hasn't got a name on it, so I don't know if they're available elsewhere, sorry. x
DeleteVery welcoming and warm space. Lovely items.

Thanks, Sophie. BUT - check out the 5th photo - the shelf is thick with dust! I took the photo, then cleaned it - dozy! x
DeleteI was just thinking today how glorious it was to see the sun, and how not so glorious it was to see my filthy windows! Your home looks beautiful - full of lovely things. Shelves on that wall would be a great excuse for more lovely things!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds too - the mirror is very pretty, and really like the way you've taken the picture x
Thank you! x
DeleteYour home looks so lovely, you have some wonderful treasures..I love those pretty mirrors
ReplyDeleteHappy Week

The dust, Oh the dust! I hate cleaning too - found the only way to get through it is to have music on loud and take it in small steps. With cake in between!
ReplyDeleteYour sitting room looks very tidy and tranquil! I've been battling the dust this week too - I blame the high winds which have been rattling our sashes and, I'm sure, bringing in dust from outside! Then the sun generously shone to show it up - I'm SURE it hasn't been there for weeks...Lovely finds!

I love your little blue hare! Your home looks lovely and cosy after all your spring cleaning:)
ReplyDeleteSpring rugs? Spring cushions? How sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteI shall have to hide and pretend to be out if you ever knock on my door.
Oh, you will - I have very high standards! Ha, ha - if you only knew the reality.....!! x
DeleteLoved the post ! Thank you so very much for the tour of your lovely home. Beautiful and refreshing. I love that your patio doors open to such a lovely green view !
