'And if one green bottle.....'

Found a box of bottles today - just been sorting them / washing them, etc. I particularly like the blue ones -

Lucky to find lots of cloths too - such pretty embroidery -

Very cold here today, after yesterday's Spring-like weather. But some brave souls showing in the garden -

These Tete a tete daffodils are peeping through - they were planted after we'd used them as table decorations at youngest daughter's wedding a couple of years ago -

The wedding was yellow / green themed -

Hope you're having a good week!

  1. Great finds! You hit the jackpot with those bottles, it's common to see these in clear but i never seen a collection of blues like that! And those, the emboidery work looks perfect, whoever did it must have been at it for years..very pretty!

A precious shot of your daughter and the yellow flowers, such fond memories for you.

Have a great week, my friend! xo

  2. where ever did you 'find' those goodies
We also have some white geraniums still going from our daughters wedding 19 years ago.

  3. I love old bottles and I especially like blue ones, you've got a lovely selection there. The embroidery reminded me of some old family table cloths and napkins that I have packed away somewhere, I must look them out. Your daughter's wedding looks so pretty with all the yellow floral decorations:)

  4. at the top of our garden- the "rough bit"- is an old bottle and china dump, probably going back to when the house was first built in the 1870s.
I dug up lots of the beautiful blue glass bottles, strung them and made a mobile which was really pretty until galeforce winds came along...and the broken pieces went back to the dump!

  5. Lovely bottles, and such pretty embroidered cloths. What a beautiful wedding! I love those gorgeous yellow and white flowers! Enjoy your weekend....hope it warms up again soon :)

  7. Hello Abby:
What wonderful finds! The chemists' bottles are lovely and would look wonderful place where light could filter through them. We have both green and blue ones which we inherited from relatives who ran a pharmacy and some still have their original labels.

Your daughter's wedding decorations look to have been so pretty. Surely there is nothing more cheering than the sight of daffodils just opening.Lovely!

  8. Hello Abby, your garden is looking lovely,I adore Hellebores. Your daughters wedding flowers are beautiful, and I love the simple wrapping on the table centres, a great idea.
