Lovely Farm / Vintage shop near Ludlow............

Went to Ludlow today and called in on the way at a lovely new Farm Shop, which sells vintage too -

 

They've only just opened, but lots of lovely things already -

 

 

There's a cosy little cafe area - with a woodburner! -

 

 

Well worth a visit, if you're in that area. It's just off the A49, the Leominster to Ludlow road, near the village of Ashford Bowdler.

Long time no see....................

Soooooo, it's been a while........  There was busyness (vintage unit in shop, family), illness (Mr VTT got pneumonia out of the blue, whisked into hospital - fine now), sadness (we had to cancel summer holiday), tech problems (moved to iPad from laptop; not so easy to insert photos), bit of low-level depression, the perennial 'why am I blogging?', boredom - with my own blog and others', etc, etc.......

 

But just popped by to wish all in Blogland a Happy Christmas / Happy Holidays / Happy Pagan Yule.........Happy "whatever rocks your boat" (!) as I heard someone say the other day.......

 

 

 

Looking a bit festive around here...............

 

 

 

 

 

Cold wind here today, but generally it's pretty mild for the time of year. Some big skies recently - from the bedroom window -

 

Still brightness in the garden -

 

This Nandina plant is a glorious colour -

This year, there were loads of us - daughters, partners, grandchildren............

There was hot sun and rain and camping and food and drink and flags and a fairground - and MUSIC!   The Malawi Mouse Boys were cool -

Arrived home to find lilies out in the garden - gorgeous scent -

 

 

And lots of butterflies on the Buddleia and Phlox and bees on the lavender -

 

 

 

So now lots of washing to be done before next week - off camping in Normandy :)

Vaguely blue..........(no, not me!)

It's my turn to 'do' the window in the shop next week, and I thought I'd do a vaguely blue theme - so I've been collecting together blue china, glassware, etc. And today I found some more pieces, like this funny blue pottery pig -

And his new friend, Blue Cat - (I have to say, I don't really like this, but it'll give the colour I want) -

I shall put my blue console table in the window, and several smaller white and grey tables -

Found this stained glass butterfly too - very pretty - it's about 8 ins high, and hinged -

When I water the garden, this little chap likes to be watered too - he sits on a leaf and I give him a shower! -
