Something light and refreshing now, please.................

Seem to have eaten nothing but very rich foods for days. Something very light and refreshing tonight I think!

Hope you all had a great Christmas. We had a lovely time. Great fun with fake moustaches! -

You wouldn't want to mess with these two! -

Tilly's going, 'Oh, my parents' ! -

More fun too, with a slightly mad board game, Funny Faces, ! -

Mother-in-law (91!) painted this lovely picture of Ruby -

Pretty good, I'd say -

And I was very pleased to receive this print of Ruby and her brothers from son-in-law -

Some cold winds recently, but still pretty mild here (much sympathy to those experiencing flooding and power cuts). These marigolds are still going strong in the garden -

Have a great week!

Simple food here now as we finish off the salad and fruit stocked up for Christmas.

  3. Lovely portrait by your mother-in-law - what a talented lady! And the print is fabulous. Gorgeous gifts. Enjoyed the moustachioed family shots too, looks like you had a great day. Funny enough plastic moustaches were the only cracker contents the kids seemed to be interested in this year! xx

I have had my fill of stodgy fattening foods for this year and am craving lighter things too.Amazing what you manage to eat at this time of year isnt it?

  9. I know the feeling - a friend offered me a mince pie with cream the other day. Couldn't even face the idea of it, let alone the taste. But I am still on casseroles but with lots of paprika to keep us warm!
Beautiful portraits. Glad you've had a great Christmas! Tonia x
