Soooooo, it's been a while........ There was busyness (vintage unit in shop, family), illness (Mr VTT got pneumonia out of the blue, whisked into hospital - fine now), sadness (we had to cancel summer holiday), tech problems (moved to iPad from laptop; not so easy to insert photos), bit of low-level depression, the perennial 'why am I blogging?', boredom - with my own blog and others', etc, etc.......
But just popped by to wish all in Blogland a Happy Christmas / Happy Holidays / Happy Pagan Yule.........Happy "whatever rocks your boat" (!) as I heard someone say the other day.......
Looking a bit festive around here...............
Cold wind here today, but generally it's pretty mild for the time of year. Some big skies recently - from the bedroom window -
Still brightness in the garden -
This Nandina plant is a glorious colour -
So, hope everyone is happy and well! X
Well hello! Your house is looking lovely, especially that tree. Sorry to hear all the crappy news, I had pneumonia a couple of years ago and it knocks the stuffing out of you (I wasn't as ill your husb. thank goodness!). Know what you mean about blogging, it has it's ups and downs and can be difficult to keep the momentum going. I enjoy it but sometimes I wonder how much time I'd free up if I stopped and closed up shop and just sewed for fun. I hope all goes well for you and your family over Christmas and you have a lovely relaxed time. Bethx (Oh and I ate ALL the rest of the cake - oops!)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Beth. Yes, I hadn't realised how knockout pneumonia was. ALL the cake!!! Ha, ha! X
DeleteWelcome back!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like it's been a bit of a tough few months, so hope all is well on all fronts now and that you can enjoy a relaxing Christmas. You're certainly looking festive. I haven't done a thing... oh dear.
Take care.
Thank you! X
DeleteLovely to see you pop up on my list! Been thinking about you Abby, did the Castle Green Fair the other day and hoped I'd get to Leominster before Christmas, but my life seems to have moved to Monmouth! Rarely even get to Hereford now. Sorry you've had a tough few months, and so glad to hear Mr VTT is feeling better. Great seeing your pics too - always love a big sky :) Hope you have a wonderful Christmas xx
ReplyDeleteHi, Tracey - oh, sorry to miss you at the CG Fair - I didn't get there this year, in spite of living so close! I love Monmouth - White Stuff, Waitrose, jolly market, Coffee1, what's not to like?! I thought about doing a stall at Llanvihangel - have you been there? X
DeleteWelcome back! Its looking very festive where you are.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anne x
DeleteHi Abby, I know what you mean about blogging boredom... Yesterday I looked at my blog list and there were 18 bloggers who last blogged over a year ago... Is everyone getting bored? Or do we all have other things that are more distracting... Family, work etc
ReplyDeleteHope you are all set for Xmas....have a lovely time...
Julie x
Thanks, Julie. I imagine there are blogs that fade away, but there must be new, interesting ones starting up too - but how to find them?! Have a lovely Christmas too x
ReplyDeleteLife does get in the way as it has for me but I think as long as we can keep calm and carry on its still nice to Blog, even if its sporadic like mine. Looking very festive in your home.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do agree. Thanks for your comment. I love your advent calendar! X
